I walk through galleries quickly letting the work brush by the edges of my vision and at some point something, a shape, a colour, a form, a blank space, a set of materials, a discordance, a convergence will make me stop and there’s a moment of realisation. These experiences settle in the hands, in the eyes, in the ears, in the mind and in the heart and it is out of this that any present is made.
